Ariolu, Ipalibo, Ex-Minister, Others Honour OCJ’s Wife At 60

The Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Barrister George Ariolu, last Thursday, joined thousands of Nigerians from different walks of life at the Port Harcourt residence of legal luminary, Onueze C. J. Okocha to honour his wife, Mrs Ifeoma Margaret Okocha, on the occasion of her 60th birthday.
The guests, who included the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Dr Ipalibo Harry Banigo, as well as former governor of Rivers State, Dr Peter Odili and his wife, Justice Mary Odili, and Ohna Sergeant Awuse, prayed God to guide and protect her, and thanked her for the good things she has continued to do to promote peace and harmony in the society.
One of the speakers eulogised Mrs Okocha’s virtues and inestimable value, describing her as a huge asset to her family and the state.
While responding to the goodwill messages, Mrs Okocha thanked the chairman and other visitors for honouring her, while commending her husband and family members for organising the private get-together and prayers on her birthday.
She said, “I want to sincerely thank my husband who has put this together, and thank all of you for coming here without any announcement in the newspapers or any form of text messages to invite guests.”
Earlier, Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Barrister George Ariolu, who presented her with a customised gift card for the occasion, also lauded her magnificent qualities, describing her as a quintessential woman of substance.
Reading from the big card, he said, “Celebrating a quintessential woman of substance, beauty and brain; a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
“To the woman of substance, an example of a virtuous woman,you are one of God’s most beautiful master pieces. You are a flower blooming in the garden of God; an epitome of Godliness and a fair replica of God’s angels.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, I celebrate a Godly woman who is living a life worthy of emulation. I pray that you be celebrated in all you do just as you celebrate others in your life.
“Happy birthday to a wonderful woman of our time.”
The event, which featured special musical performances and documentaries of the celebrant, was also graced by member of the House of Representatives representing Port Harcourt I, Hon Ken Chikere; as well as former Minister of Transport, Dr Abiye Sekibo; former Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Timi Alaibe;and former Attorney General of Rivers State, Sir Frank Owhor.
Others include Ijaw-born human rightsactivist, Annkio Briggs, Wenenda Wali, amongst others.
