Community Leader Backs Wike Over War On Illegal Oil Bunkering
The Ejiofor of Umuogodo Community Igbo Etche in Etche local government area Eze John Oluo, says there is no place for illegal oil bunkering in the area and by extension the whole of Etche.
Speaking in an interview with the Tide in his palace at Umuogodo, Oluo advised those involved in the nefarious activities to desist in the interest of their people.
He accused them of conspiracy to fail the Wike administration, adding “they must stop it in the interest of the state.
The Ejiofor also called for the creation of employment opportunities for the youth.
“Etche people should not be involved in illegal oil bunkering, but government should provide jobs for youths in Etche.
He decried the high rate of unemployment in the area despite the numerous oil Wells there.
He also called on people to stop patronizing kpo fire fuel, arguing that if there is no one market for the product, the business will fall.
Meanwhile Oluo has pleaded with the state government to look at the poor state of Igbo Etche roads.
He said criminals are taking advantage of the poor state of the road to unleash mayhem on the people.
“He should remember the road from Eleme to Igbo Etche. He constructed it during his first tenure, now the road is bad”
Oluo said the poor state of the road is hampering economic development as vehicles find it difficult to come in and get out.
He also called on the youth to think about their future and stop involving in antisocial behavior
