Group Donates Generators, Microphones To Churches
The Spirit-Filled International Network of Gospel Ministers, Port Harcourt, has presented generating sets and microphones to 10 young churches which are members of the body.
Making the presentation during this year’s convention with the theme, the Damacus Experience at the Kingdom Life Gospel Church, Port Harcourt recently the international president of the body, Bishop Victor Uzosike said the items were given to the churches to empower them.
He said the gesture was also to convey a message that Ministries of God were also good givers and not only receivers, stressing that the body was committed to the celebration of the Holy Spirit and the Church.
According to him, the convention which featured two guest speakers, Pastor Chika Onuzo of the United States of America and a Port Harcourt – based cleric, Bishop Daka Williams was organized for churches to fortify themselves against the current waves of violence and insecurity in some parts of the country.
While urging Nigerians to live in the faith of God in the face of the seeming threat to the unity of the country, instead of being ruled by fear, the cleric admonished Ministries of God to keep politicians at arms length to insulate them from avarice and inordinate material acquisition.
According to him, if you carry your pastoral calling with dignity, no gate of hell shall prevail against you.”
While condemning the killing of innocent Nigerians in some parts of the North, the president Bishop of Kingdom Life Gospel Church, Port Harcourt alleged that the act had a political undertone.
He urged members of the National Assembly to rise up to the occasion by making laws that would stem the tide of the growing insecurity in the country.
Bishop Uzosike also admonished the participants to live well while working for God in order not to die prematurely, and anointed them to protect them from the forces of darkness.
During the impartation, service, pastor Chika Onuzo preached on the power of the covenant while Bishop Daka Williams focused on the Spirit of Religion to help the participants overcome the challenges of life.
