Monarch Donates Patrol Vehicles To Delta Police
The Delta State Police Command has received a donation of 10 Hilux patrol vehicles from the Isagba of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom, Chief Jude Ozah.
According to a statement signed by the spokesperson to the Obi of Ogwashi-Uku, Greg Okwumbu, Ozah was accompanied by the Obi, Obi Okonjo II, for the presentation of the vehicles to the Commissioner of Police, Delta State, Mohammed Ali.
Receiving the vehicles on behalf of the state command, the Commissioner of Police lauded the contribution.
He thanked Obi of Ogwashi-Uku and Chief Ozah for their timely and wonderful contribution to policing in the state.
According to him, Ozah may not be the richest man in Delta State, but his call to duty and responsiveness to the needs of the police is simply wonderful.
He said, “The vehicles will be used to effectively combat crime in the state and ensure that the police can extend their reach even more.
“After the EndSARS, we assumed the police will be treated as orphans, but to our greatest delight, people like Chief Ozah have responded with strong support for the police.”
The Obi of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom thanked the Inspector General and Commissioner of Police in Delta for the increased police visibility, which he said was evidenced by the reduced crime rates within the state.
He thanked Chief Ozah for his donation while describing him as a pillar in the Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom.
