Group Wants Wike To Declare For Presidency
Forum of Governorship Candidates in the 2019 Elections have called on Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike to run for the country’s presidency in 2023.
Chairman of the forum and Labour Party candidate in the 2019 elections, Samuel Ihunwo told newsmen in Port Harcourt on Monday that Wike is qualified to aspire for the nation’s highest office.
Ihunwo said the performance of the state governor puts him in good position to lead the nation.
The Labour Party guber candidate in 2019 opined that they will mobilise for Chief Wike, as the forum has supporters from their various parties ready to galvanise the people to ensure that it succeeds.
He said, “we have the electorate and our supporters are ready to give support to our governor.”
Ihunwo urged Wike not to hesitate,” we his colleagues urge him without further delay to declare his ambition,” he added.
With the work and achievements in Rivers State in the past six years, the guber candidate said Wike can replicate same at the national level.
He stated that the forum does not regret the support they gave to the governor in 2019 to win a new mandate, saying it has brought monumental changes and face-lift to Rivers State.
Ihunwo said the forum has remained united over the years and is poised to give support to the development of Rivers State, as he lauded past PDP chairman, Bro Felix Obuah for his recent awards and recognition following his sterling qualities.
