LG Boss Bags GACA’s Chairman Of The Year Award
The Chairman of Degema Local Government Area, Mr Michael John Williams, has been selected for another award by the organisers of the Garden City Advancement Award (GACA) as ‘Most Enterprising LGA Chairman of The Year.’
Presenting the Letter of Award Conferment to the Chairman at the Council Secretariat, Tuesday, Principal Partner of the group, Mr Robinson Koyoyo, disclosed that the choice of the council boss was based on his sterling performance, amongst other qualities.
“This conferment is based on your sterling performance, exceptional contributions towards building a vibrant economic model, sustainable development, peace and stability in your LGA and Rivers State at large.
“We congratulate you and sincerely commend your uncommon patriotism and commitment towards human capacity and community development.
Koyoyo noted that the GACA Award was an innovative platform that identified and celebrated individuals, corporate organisations and government officials that had distinguished themselves by championing the course for excellence, capacity building, job creation, community development, service delivery and purposeful leadership.
Responding, the council chairman commended the organisers for recognising his efforts and finding him most deserving, amidst several nominations, for the prestigious award.
While pledging to partner with the group in the promotion of good governance and advancement of the State, the council chairman restated his commitment to improve the LGA better than he met it.
The award ceremony which is in the ‘Platinum Honours’ category, is the 7th Edition and is slated for November 7, 2021, at the Aztec Arcum Event Centre, Port Harcourt.
