Varsity, RSNC Partner For Development
The Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Professor Ozo Mekuri Ndimele, says the institution will continue to partner with the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation, to advance the overall interest of Rivers State on educational development.
Ndimele said this in his office in Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt yesterday while playing host to the management of the corporation, who were on a courtesy visit to the institution.
He said the university authorities had always given priority to The Tide Newspaper in terms of coverages of its activities and others as both institutions were working together for the good of the state.
The vice chancellor also commended RSNC management for the proposed introduction of educational column in The Tide Newspaper, adding that the column would boost the reading habit of the society, especially those conscious of the importance of reading.
He also assured of support for the forthcoming golden jubilee anniversary of The Tide Newspaper.
Earlier, the General Manager of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation (RSNC), Port Harcourt, Chief Ernest Chinwo, said the corporation had the capacity to handle all printing jobs.
Chinwo said the corporation also guaranteed confidentiality as far as the printing business was concerned, adding that apart from timely delivery, quality was also assured.
“ Most times, people see RSNC as just publishers of The Tide Newspaper. RSNC does other jobs such as printing of books, calendars, files “.
He also called for the institution’s support for the 50th anniversary of The Tide Newspaper.
Chinwo commended the university for its excellent relationship with the corporation and urged for it to be sustained.
