Monarch Hails Wike Over Road Project
The Eze Eberi Ugo IX of Eberi Omuma Kingdom, King Onyekachi Amaonwu, has commended the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike over the commissioning of the 17 kilo meter Umueze/Umuogba/Eberi Link Road.
Amaonwu made the commendation during the project commissioning at Eberi Omuma, in Omuma Local Government Area, recently.
The Monarch who is also a trained lawyer, pointed out that Wike’s decision to construct the Umuakali and Eberi Road was another laudable feat.
”Governor Wike has shown that he is not only a man of action but a man of his words. If nothing else, those accusing him of only performing in the urban areas should keep quiet. He is an all round performer”, he said.
The best way to support the governor, he hinted, was to ensure that peace was maintained by Omuma people and Rivers people at large.
According to him, Rivers people have not had it so good, adding that, for the umpteenth time, the people have seen a governor who was performing better in his second tenure.
“ We have seen a governor who is doing more projects in his second tenure in office .This is unprecedented in the history of Nigerian politics”, he said.
The Omuma King who doubles as Omuma Chairman, Omuma Council Traditional Rulers, called on other political leaders in country to emulate Wike in order to move the nation forward.
Describing the Rivers State Governor as a goal-getter, he said the approval cum subsequent sitting of a Law School in the state was a unique treat and added that it was a huge concern over his plans to turn the state to one of the best globally.
For more people oriented projects, he urged everyone to ensure they support the Governor in any of his political decision, come 2023.
“The Governor is still young and vibrant and has a lot to offer this country at any level. We should not allow any sentiment to make us lose such a man,” he stated.
On the part of the Member, Representing Omuma in the State House of Assembly, Hon Kelechi Nwogu, he called on his people to continue to give him their unalloyed support .
The traditional ruler, who hinged his appeal on Nwogu’s altruistic nature, said such was part of the reasons why the governor loved Omuma people the more.
