Capital Oil To Extend Sale Of Kerosene To Other States
Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited. says it will soon extend the sale of kerosene in mobile trucks to other states of the country.
Managing Director, Mr Ifeanyin Ubah, told newsmen in Lagos on Thursday that the company had almost concluded arrangement with Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to make the proposal possible.
According to Ubah, the product will be sold in trucks at N50 per litre in Abuja, Port Harcourt and some other states.
He said that the objective was to ensure that every household got the product at recommended pump price and to ease the suffering of the common man.
Ubah said that Capital Oil had over 100 mobile dispensers across Lagos state and that the scheme had so far been successful due to the supply of the product by NNPC at subsidised rate.
“With 100 trucks dispensing the product, over 5000 families will get 25 litres of kerosene per day and in a week we have been able to calm nerves arising from the prolong scarcity in the state,” he said.
It would be recalled that Capital Oil and Gas Ltd. introduced the sale of kerosene to the people through mobile trucks.
It started the scheme in partnership with the NNPC with over 20 million litres of kerosene in Lagos.
