Rivers Angels Confront Nasarawa Amazon’s In Lafia
Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt will encounter opponent Nasarawa Amazons today in one of the week 12 fixtures of the ongoing Nigeria Women Football NWFL) League scheduled to hold today at the Lafia Township Stadium.
The match which is expected to be exciting will have the Angels do their best to ensure that today’s match go their way. The Jewels of Rivers will go all out to win the match, as to enable them increase their points, on the league table.
Rivers Angels have worked assiduously and are determined to carry the day at the end of the 90 minutes encounter, as they are in high spirit and poised to garner the points at stake in today’s match.
Head coach of the team, Edwin Okon said that his players have prepared adequately for the match day 12 and are set for a win, when they meet their Nasarawa counterpart at the Lfia Township Stadium, today.
“My girls are ready for this match, all that needed to be done has been put in place for battle, we are going for nothing less than total victory,” Okon said.
It would be recalled that Rivers Angels FC played 0-0 with Sunshine Queens of Akure last week in one of the week 11 fixtures of the Nigeria Women League decided at the University of Port Harcourt, ( UNIPORT) Football Pitch, and their opponent Nasarawa Amazon’s, also played 0-0 with their host DreamStars Ladies of Lagos at the Agege Township Stadium, Lagos
Currently, Rivers Angels are placed second on the league table with 22 points from 11 matches played so far, Bayelsa Queens and Delta Queens are first second with 28 and 23 points respectively, while, Nasarawa Amazon’s are seventh on the table with 17 points from 11 matches.
