Show Capacity To Achieve Goals, Banigo Tells Female Councillors

The Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo says as people with special innate abilities and potentials, women should continue to work hard, be prayerful and show capacity to achieve set goals in life.
Banigo stated this while playing host to some female councillors, who came to congratulate her at the Deputy Governor’s Lodge, in reaction to the Distinguished Mother of the Year Award bestowed on the deputy governor, by the Mothers’ Union and Women Guild of St Cyprian’s Anglican Church, Port Harcourt.
Speaking on behalf of the 130 female councillors of the state, the Chief Whip, Khana Legislative Assembly, Princess Barikui Solomon, and her counterpart in Okrika Local Government Area, Mrs. Sarah Abibo, described Banigo as an embodiment of hope and inspiration to the women folk.
They said she has continued to demonstrate capacity in the discharge of her duties, as well as unflinching support and loyalty to the State Chief Executive, Chief Nyesom Wike.
The lawmakers, who said Banigo’s lifestyle stands her out as a role model, noted that her conduct and performance must have encouraged Governor Wike to create opportunities for women to secure more elective political positions as councillors and vice chairmen in the 23 local government areas of the state, adding that she has always shown passion for the well-being of women.
