Community Leader Commends Wike Over Renaming Of Aker Road
Following the renaming of Aker Base Road to Late Barrister Orabule Adiele Road by Governor Nyesom Wike, Chief Collins Wagbara, says the people of Rumuolumeni are overwhelmed over the development.
Chief Wagbara while reacting to the pronouncement by Governor Wike during the commissioning of the road described the Governor’s magnanimity as a good development to the entire town.
He said Governor Wike had shown he is a member of Rumuolumeni Council of Chiefs and a son of the town, adding that Late Barr. Orabule Adiele was a round peg in a round hole.
“Renaming Aker Base to Late Bar. Orabule road, I tell you is the greatest thing that could happen to the entire Rumuolumeni town.
“Our dear son, Governor Wike while commissioning the former Aker Base Road christened it “Late Barr. Orabule Adiele Road. It is a good development,” he said
According to him, “Late Barr. Orabule Adiele was former Attorney General of Rivers State who contributed immensely to the growth of the town through award of scholarship and a whole lot done towards the development and peace of the town. He deserved some honour by His Excellency, Chief Nyesom Wike, who is a recognised chief in Rumuolumeni Council of Chiefs. I say emphatically that today.”
Chief Wagbara said Late Adiele had paid his dues, saying, the governor also re-awarded Nkpor/ Mgbuoshimini Road. It is resounding and has shown he is a true son of Rumuolumeni town”
