Diri Swears In More Commissioners, SAs
Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has sworn-in two additional Commissioners into the state executive council.
A press statement made available to The Tide by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Daniel Alabrah said apart from the two new commissioners, the Governor also inaugurated three Non-Executive Commissioners of the State Local Government Service Commission and 25 Special Advisers.
The statement noted that six Technical Advisers were also sworn in.
Alabrah said the ceremony took place in Yenagoa where the Governor charged the new appointees to be diligent, dedicated and to wear the toga of integrity.
The Governor’s spokesman quoted the Governor as saying that the revalidation of his mandate depended on their performance and the extent to which they selflessly serve the people.
He emphasised the need for them to regard their respective roles and avoid actions that hinder the smooth operations of government.
Diri stated that team work must be their watchword as this would help his administration achieve more goals.
“God is interested in the prosperity of Bayelsa State. I believe He will continue to supernaturally engrace us all to do exceedingly, abundantly and far above what we can think or imagine”, he added.
The new commissioners are Mr. Erasmus Patrick in charge of Ijaw National Affairs and Mr. Kemebradikumo Wariebi for Water Resources, while the new Local Government Service Commissioners are Chief Lambert Ototo, Chairman while Mr. Carter Cleopas and Mr. Awupi Odudu are to serve as Non-Executive Commissioners.
