23 Rivers LGAs Get N3.59bn In March
Twenty-three Local Government Areas of Rivers State got a total of N3,590,163,040.02 as their allocations for the month of March, 2011.
In a statement, the State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Dr. Tamuno W. Danagogo said three state statutory bodies benefited total of N246,796,264.59 from the local governments’ allocation within the period under review.
According to the statement addressed to the Manager, First Bank, Main Branch, Port Harcourt got the highest allocation of N235,516,583.63, followed by Obio/Akpor LG with N213,238,197.56 while Khana LG went home with the third highest allocation of N178,908,056.26
Danagogo also listed Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LG as the 4th beneficiary with N176,603,547.01, followed by Abua/Odual LG – N171,733,111.11; Etche LG – N166,092,387.58; Degema LG – N163,346,359.45; Ahoada West LG – N162,526,281.25; Gokana LG – N155,898,523.92 and Okrika LG with N155,708,504.39.
The least allocation went to Ogu/Bolo LG with the total of N114,798,907.20.
