Cleric Urges Christians To Assist Orphans, Widows
Religious bodies especially churches in the country have been urged to assist widows, fatherless and orphans to correct the errors in the body of Christ.
The founder of Friends of Jesus, Elder Prince Gwogwo who stated this during the church sixth anniversary celebration in Port Harcourt last week noted that the church was established to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and lead the people out of sin.
Gwogwo stressed the need for Christians and non Christians to embrace the truth to receive the light of God, adding that God loves Nigeria and is ready to liberate the people.
According to him, “darkness manifests in any society where the truth is covered and darkness gives birth to underdevelopment and sufferings”.
He regretted that corruption still exists in the nation because the people have failed to embrace God, urging that the people should return to God and worship Him in spirit as stated in the scriptures.
Gwogwo urged Christians to always stand for the truth to set example for others to follow, adding that God is interested in the increase of individuals and society.
He explained that Nigeria and the people could be free if the society could accept and embrace the light of God.
