FG Orders Civil Servants To Stay At Home Indefinitely Over Coronavirus
The Federal Government has ordered civil servants to stay at home from Tuesday, 24 March, as the battle against Coronavirus gathers momentum.
Nation’s Head of Service, Folasade Yemi-Esan, in a memo said all civil servants from grade level one to 12 were to stay and work from home.
He said those who would stay at work must limit the number of visitors
The head of service stated that the government had taken a number of measures to manage the identified cases of COVID – 1 9 and curtail its spread.
According to her, government was concerned about the welfare and safety of all public servants just as it was about other Nigerians.
“All public servants are, therefore, strongly advised to follow the measures being put in place by government to curtail the spread of the pandemic,” she said.
She added that “as a further step to check the spread of COVID-19, all non-essential public servants on grade level 12 and below are to work from home with effect from Tuesday 24th March, 2020 until further notice.”
