Amaechi Deserves Green Campaign For Re-Election – Aide
The Special Adviser to the Rivers State Government on Vegetal Conservation, Comrade Donald Hart, has disclosed plans by his office to launch a green campaign for the re-election of Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
This was contained in a press release made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt. Comrade Hart said that the campaign is in response to the attitude of the Rivers State Government to environmental wellbeing.
He also described the state governor as the first to recognise the negative impact of climate change which has been put in the front burner by the United Nations.
The Special Adviser also commended the governor for turning the Amadi-Flats in the old GRA into a delightful zone.
“Reconnaissance Survey of the Amadi-Flats/Old GRA present project site for those who were used to the area would surely justify the essence of ongoing campaign Under 6(six) months between July December 2010 the area turned to such delightful surroundings contemplative of its looking and decadence in the past and changes which has taken place.
“Therefore there is the need consequently for this concerned government to be encouraged and supported for victory in the coming election for obvious reasons,” he said.
