Nsirim Lauds Wike, Security Agencies’ Cordial Relationship

The Permanent Secretary, Rivers State Ministry of Information and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim, has lauded the cordial relationship existing between Governor Nyesom Wike and security agencies in the State.
Nsirim who gave the commendation during the Our StateOurResponsibility advocacy visit to the State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Port Harcourt, last Wednesday said the relationship between the Governor and the various security agencies in the state was unequal in the country. The Permanent Secretary stressed the need for men and officers of the command to put the interest of the state above other interest in the discharge of their duties.
He said despite the achievements of Governor Wike in security infrastructure and human development, there were orchestrated campaigns to paint the state black, using the media.
He said the visit was to bridge the gap between the Ministry and critical stakeholders as well as seek for new areas of collaboration with the NSCDC.
According to him, it is the responsibility of everyone living and doing business in Rivers State to see himself as a brand ambassador of the state.
Responding, the Commandant, Rivers State NSCDC, Mr. Muktar Lawal, said the NSCDC fully endorses the campaign, and commended Governor Wike for the donation of security vehicles to the command.
