Banigo Urges Christians Not To Despise Humble Beginning
The Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo has advised Christians not to despise days of humble beginning.
Banigo gave this advice while speaking during the closing ceremony of the 2019 Skills Acquisition Programme of Redemption Ministries, Headquarters, Eastern Bye-Pass, in Port Harcourt, yesterday.
Represented by her Director of Administration, Mr. Ben Robert, Banigo commended the church for sustaining the programme in the past seven years, while thanking the resources persons for impacting knowledge and skills of different dimensions on the 400 participants who took part this year.
“You may think the skills you have acquired is small but with diligence and perseverance you will reap great dividends”, Banigo stressed.
According to her the Bible frowns at laziness, noting that the skills acquired has given participants the opportunity to work hard and carve a niche for themselves in the society.
In his sermon drawn from Genesis Chapter 26:18, the Deputy General Overseer of the church, Pastor Cletus Desmond, who said the skills acquisition programme was set up to encourage participants to be self-reliant, urged participants to persevere in order to succeed, noting that it is part of the church’s contribution to reduce the unemployment rate in the society.
The Coordinator of the Redemption Ministries Annual Skills Acquisition Programme, Pastor Austin Monday, had earlier expressed gratitude to the deputy governor for her consistent support for the programme over the years.
