The Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo has expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for redeeming Rivers State from the destruction that was planned by detractors of the state.
Banigo expressed this during a special thanksgiving/interactive forum with members of the Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo Women Support Group for Governor Nyesom Wike at the Government House in Port Harcourt, yesterday.
According to Banigo, God has reaffirmed that Rivers State is a 100 per cent Christian state, noting that he fought for the Rivers people on all sides and gave us victory and peace contrary to the expectation of the enemies.
The deputy governor thanked members of the group for their support for the state chief executive, and assured them that Wike’s second tenure would be more glorious than the first.
Also speaking, the Coordinator of the Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo Women Support Group for Governor Wike, who was the former Caretaker Committee Chairman of Degema Local Government Area, Mrs. Okorite Carrie Adiele, said members of the group were ladies of high moral standards, respectfully married with families, stressing that they were resourceful women of virtue from the grassroots, whom according to her, were totally committed in their support for Governor Nyesom Wike.
In his sermon, Pastor Elias Uzorsike of the Kingdom Life Gospel Outreach Ministries International Inc, had earlier preached on the Theme: “Fight the Good Fight”, where he stressed that as Christians, the weapons of our war fare were not carnal.
