APC Plotting To Mislead INEC C’ttee With Fake Results -PDP Alleges
Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said the party has uncovered plot by chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and two other parties to concoct results from the 23 local government areas of the State.
The PDP also said part of the plot was to deceive the fact- finding committee of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state so as to influence the outcome of last Saturday’s Governorship and State House of Assembly polls.
Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the State PDP Chairman, Jerry Needam who disclosed this in a statement issued in Port Harcourt yesterday also alleged that the APC chieftains planned to force INEC officials that supervised the last polls to admit the ‘concocted’ results as the authentic one.
Needam further said that the fake results would be presented to INEC through FSARS Commander in the State, Mr Akin Fakorede who he alleged had from the onset spearheaded the onslaught in Rivers for the APC chieftains.
The statement reads, “The Rivers State chapter of the PDP has just uncovered a grave plot by the chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and two other political parties to deceive and tele-guide the INEC’s fact-finding committee in the State with concocted and false election results supposedly obtained in the 23 local government areas of the State.
“The APC leaders in the State have also planned to coerce INEC officials that supervised the Governorship and State Assembly elections on Saturday, March 9, to admit the cooked up results as the authentic results.
“The fake results are to be presented to the fact-finding committee through FSARS Commander in the State, Mr Akin Fakorede, who right from the outset spearheaded the onslaught in Rivers State for the APC chieftains in the State.
