VC Applauds Wike On Varsity’s Dev
The Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Prof Blessing Didia says the university has improved tremendously in academics following the emergence of high profile graduates in recent years.
Didia stated this while receiving an award of excellence from members of Rivers State University Community Health Information Forum.
The vice chancellor said his choice as the Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University was ordained by God, adding that he would forever remain grateful to Governor Nyesom Wike for his tremendous support to his administration.
The university administrator also used the opportunity to praise the students of the university for winning laurels for the university in external competitions and urged them to do more to project the image of the university.
Prof. Didia, however, enjoined the students to be committed to their studies and shun acts capable of undermining the stipulated period of their stay in the university.
The SUG Stakeholders Chairman, Keakiile Precious Akpobari and the team leader, Chiweuba Linda, extolled the virtues of the Vice Chancellor, whom they described as the most students-friendly Vice Chancellor in the country, saying he has transformed the university in all ramifications within a few years in office.
