Adepoju Hails LMC Over NPFL’s Improvement
An ex-international, Mutiu Adepoju, yesterday commended the League Management Company (LMC) for its dedication towards improving the standard of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Adepoju told Tidesports source in Lagos that LMC has done a lot to keep the competition afloat so far.
“The beginning of the league was shaky because of the violent act of some clubs.
“But the truth must be told. The LMC has come a long way and it keeps getting better, compared to what it was like 10 years ago.
“Although violence at the beginning of the season made it look like the league was in disrepute, but as the league progressed, we haven’t had any cause to lament over acts of violence.
“But I believe there is still much to be done, in so many important areas that affect the league, and I believe that as the league progresses it will only keep getting better,” he said.
Adepoju however said he was positive that the second stanza of the league would be better than the first.
Tidesports source reports that the 2018/2019 NPFL season, which is an abridged competition, had kicked off on Jan. 13.
