Cr-subeb Holds Documentation Exercise For Newly Recruited Staff
The Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board (CR-SUBEB) has conducted documentation exercise for 2,220 newly recruited primary school teaching and non-teaching staff at the West African People’s Institute (WAPI), Calabar.
Sources close to the organisation said the exercise which included issuance of appointment letters followed the successful completion of interviews by the Board for applicants to fill the vacancies created by retirement and death cases in the primary school system.
While addressing the new recruits, the Executive Chairman SUBEB, Dr Stephen Odey, said the recruitment of teachers and security-men was one of government’s measures to reposition the education sector for quality service delivery.
He said that, the recruitment was also expected to address prevalent manpower shortage in the system arising from retirements, as well as tackle the security challenges confronting some public schools across the State.
