NSE Inducts 101 Engineering Graduates
The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has inducted 101 engineering graduates from the Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar College of Engineering, Igbinedion University, Okada for the 2017/2018 session.
Our correspndent reports that the oath-taking and induction ceremony was held at the Nigerian Society of Engineers auditorium, Ekenwan, Edo, on Sunday.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye, who was represented by the Dean, College of Engineering, Igbenedion University, Dr Rowland Azike said that the induction was a platform to help the inductees attain great heights.
He said that the inductees were privileged to be inducted into the NSE as members, adding that they were already on course to becoming corporate members.
Ezemonye, who urged the graduates to use their knowledge to promote the society, and he described engineering as an interesting course, touching every aspect of life.
President of the NSE, Mr Adekunle Mokuolu, represented by its Vice President, Mr Saad Gidari-Wudril, who inducted the students, urged them to follow the steps of their predecessors who he said were doing well in the society.
According to him, the graduates were expected to acquaint themselves with the code of professional ethics.
Earlier, Dr Queenth Omoyibo, the Co-ordinator, NSE Student membership had urged the inductees to always stand by the laws guiding the practice of engineering.
She advised them to strive toward adding value by becoming good entrepreneurs in the country.
Our correspondent reports that the 2017/2018 academic session induction ceremony is the second by the institution.
