NGO Empowers 300 Widows In Rivers
Over three hundred wid-ows have been empowered by the Elizabeth Jackrich Aid Foundation as part of activities marking the New Year celebration.
Speaking while handing over a cheque of two hundred thousand Naira and other gift items to each of the beneficiaries , the President of the foundation, Dr. Elizabeth Jackrich Tein said she decided to partner Belema Oil to ensure that widows of fallen heroes are remembered and empowered during the festive season across the country.
Dr Jackrich Tein said her Foundation since 2017 has been involved in bringing succor to the less privileged in society, through other outreach programmes including free medical outreach and scholarships.
On his part, the External Affairs Manager of Belema Oil Producing Limited, Mr Samuel Abel Jumbo said his company decided to partner Elizabeth Jackrich Aid Foundation as part of the company’s corporatesocial responsibility programme and lauded the founder for her zeal for the less privileged.
Also speaking, the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Zaki Ahmed while thanking the President and Founder of Elizabeth Jackrich Aid Foundation said it is the first time since he joined the force to see such a magnanimity from a non-governmental organisation extended to the Nigeria Police Force.
