Monarch Preaches Peace, Non-Violence In 2019
The people of Evo Kingdom have been charged to shun violence, but should adopt peaceful approach in all their dealings in a bid rid the kingdom of crisis.
This was the message of the Evo monarch, King Leslie N Eke, the Eze Oha Evo III, Eze Gbakagbaka, when he spoke with newsmen recently in Woji during the 2018 edition of the celebration of Eze Gbakagbaka Day.
The Nyerisi Eli/Eze Woji, noted that the occasion was to user in peace to the kingdom by way of seeking God’s face.
According to him, it was only what God ordained that would come to play, and added that no meaningful development could crop up in the midst of violence.
Eze Eke maintained that things could only move on well for a people if they are humble and to the path of peace and not through violence means.
He regretted that some people could still think of violence in some part of the state, inspite of Governor Nyesom Wike’s sermon against violence in the state.
The Paramount ruler of Woji, also called on the people to learn how to respect authorised traditional/government institutions so as to attract more bleesings from God.
He reasoned that part of the ways to get protected by God was to play according to the rule, and not to go anti clock wise in order to please man or reign.
The monarch stressed that only a thing that was from God could stand the test of time, and hinted that power comes from above.
It would be recalled that every December was set aside as Eze Gbakagbaka Day, by Evo people to brainstorm and work out modalities on way forward under the supervision of Eze Gbakagbaka.
Others who spoke at the event, thanked the Nyerisi Eli Woji/ Paraount ruler over his peaceful approach to issues in the Kingdom.
They admitted that Eze Eke was a man of peace, and promised to stand by him, whether rain or sun shine.
Earlier, the Monarch had reaffirmed his promise not to let the people down, adding that he would stand by the truth in all circumstances.
