Civil servants in Rivers State have been reassured of affordable housing schemes next year.
One of the governorship aspirants of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mrs Dennisada Ben-Fiabema gave the assurance, Monday in Port Harcourt, while declaring her interest to vie as the Governor of Rivers State next year.
Ben-Fiabema, noted that Civil Servants were of great importance to the state and should be made to enjoy the fruit of their labour.
She explained that, over the years, civil servants have been facing a great deal of trouble in the area of Housing schemes, saying that it will be made easy for them soon if she becomes the Governor of Rivers State next year.
The PDP guber candidate, argued that her bid to vie for the office of Governor of the state was born out of the need to bring a positive change to the state.
She maintained that without such change, it will be difficult for the state to meet up with the minimal requirements of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGS) as enumerated by the United Nations.
Ben-Fiabema, also noted that she will fine-tune and finalise Civil Servants Welfare Package inorder to encourage them in their job.
She further pointed out that she will take a leap to some environmental challenges and ensure that they were addressed through her land down realistic vision.
Meanwhile, she has promised a total overhaul of the state infrastructure, which according to her, will stand the test of time.
