Tourism Commissioner Harps On Unity
The Cross River State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Development (MCTD), Mr. Eric Anderson, has commended the spirit of unity existing among members of the Faculty of Arts, Theatre Arts Alumni Association, University of Calabar.
Anderson said this when members of the association paid him a courtesy visit as part of activities to mark the alumni’s reunion, recently at his office in Okoi Arikpo House, Calabar.
Welcoming the delegation, the commissioner said the passion to stick together and be in constant communication with each other, years after leaving the university shows love, respect and maturity among members of the alumni.
“With the level of unity displayed, it means that we can take on any developmental project and succeed. We do not know what the future holds but I can confidently say that this bond will take us to greater heights,” he said.
Anderson remarked that as a student of the Department of Theatre Arts, now Department of Theatre, Film and Carnival Studies, it has moulded him into a gentleman and has contributed to the heights he has attended today.
Acknowledging God for the opportunity given to him to serve, Anderson said his boss, the very erudite and digital Governor of Cross River State, Prof Ben Ayade, who in three years, has put in so much in assisting movie productions in state, should be thanked for seeing the potentials in him, automatically making him a good ambassador of the alumni.
