Jega Attends RSIEC Report Presentation, Tomorrow
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Professor Attahiru Mohamed Jega, and the Rivers Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, are billed for the formal presentation of “Making the Votes Count – A Report of the 2008 Local Government Council Elections in Rivers State” compiled by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) tomorrow.
A statement released by the Commissioner in-charge of Public Affairs and Civil Education, Hon. Nimi Walson-Jack, indicated that the presentation, which would be chaired by the INEC chairman will hold at the auditorium of the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex.
Mr. Walson-Jack stated that the report of the 2008 local government elections in Rivers State which will be presented by the Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, Hon. Professor Nimi Briggs.
The commissioner stated that the report to be publicly presented to the three arms of the government and the political parties will kick-start series of electoral activities leading to the 2011 Local Government Council elections in Rivers State.
