Bank Donates 1,000 Reflective Coveralls To Delta SEEFOR
Sky Bank Plc yesterday presented 1,000 pieces of reflective coverall to the World Bank, European Union State Employment and Expenditure for Result Project (SEEFOR) in Delta.
The Group Head of the bank in Delta Business Area, Mrs Victoria Ofili, presented the work tools to the Delta State Commissioner for Economic Planning in Asaba.
Ofili said that the tools were especially for road sweepers for their safety, adding that the donation was part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility.
She said that Sky bank was satisfied with its partnership with SEEFOR, noting that SEEFOR had done much in Delta to deliver government programmes to the people.
“SEEFOR in Delta is doing a lot.
“We see what they have been doing, especially in the area of road maintenance, construction of markets, refuse collection, capacity building, empowerment of youths as well as equipping technical schools across the state,” Ofili said.
Responding, the state Commissioner for Economic Planning, Dr Kinsley Emu, hailed the bank for the donation, and assured the bank that the state government would continue to partner with it.
Emu urged Sky bank management to consider people who had successfully passed through skill acquisition programmes of the government in the distribution of the coverall.
He said that the consideration would go a long way encourage them.
The state Coordinator of SEEFOR, Mr. Benson Ojoko, said that the donation was a good way to identify with the job creation policy of the state.
Ojoko also said that the coverall would help SEEFOR to safeguard road mangers.
“When they put on these coverall, they will be more visible, and the road users will be able to identify them and take necessary precautions,” he said.
