RSG Partners RIVPA On Information
The Rivers State Commissioner of Information and Communications, Mrs Ibim Semenitari, has stated her readiness Ministry’s to partner with the newly elected executive members of Rivers State Independent Publishers Association, RIVPA for effective information dissemination.
Mrs Semenitari made this known while receiving the executive committee of the group which paid her a courtesy visit last week in Port Harcourt.
The commissioner assured them of the ministry’s support for their set goals and expressed enthusiasm over their training initiative.
Mrs Semenitari commended their desire to work as a team and encouraged them to embrace professionalism in the discharge of their duties, to be able to operate effectively in today’s changing world.
Speaking, the Chairman of RIVPA, Mrs Sotonye Fulton, thanked the government for its role in resolving the crisis that had earlier engulfed the group.
On behalf of the association, she assured the commissioner of their support by giving adequate publicity to government policies and programmes.
She also solicited the support of the commissioner for their newly introduced programme, “RIVPA Investment Forum,” which will entail RIVPA interacting with stakeholders from time to time.
