Activist Canvasses Peace In Andoni
A youth activist, Deacon Peter Timothy Igbifa, has cautioned youths in the Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State to opt for the path of peace in their daily conduct.
Addressing newsmen last Monday in Port Harcourt, Deacon Igbifa urged the Andoni youths to shun lawless activities, noting that, nothing positive could be achieved outside a peaceful environment.
Deacon Igbifa, an advocate of peace, also warned political leaders and the elite in ANOLGA to desist from sponsoring the youths to exhibit traits which are detrimental to the growth of the Andoni communities.
In his words: Any political leader or elite that sponsors the youths to exhibit characters that are detrimental to the overall growth of the Andoni community should desist from it or risk being fished out for arrest and prosecution by the law enforcement agents.
Deacon Igbifa, who hails from Ataba, promised to enlighten the youths of Andoni on the essence of peace, especially with electioneering period just around the corner, stressing that, politicians and elite should encourage youths to acquire requisite professional skills through the on-going training programme of the federal government for repentant militants.
