Cleric Slams Buhari, APC Over Nigerians’ Economic Woes
A cleryman and Minister in-charge of God’s Chosen Army Chapel, Kalaibiama-Opobo, Pastor Mike Dappa, says President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) are ineffective to manage the nation’s economy in view of the negative policies adopted by the present administration.
Pastor Dappa who stated this during an interview with The Tide in Opobo doubted Buhari and APC’s capability to bail Nigeria out of the present economic logjam. “Let me say this with all due respect, that the handling of the nation economy by Buhari and his APC-led government has been a worrisome time-bomb waiting to cause untold calamity”, he stressed. According to him, “this is a national disgrace to Nigerians and other economic stakeholders. It is a terrible disaster to the masses”, Dappa said. He also disclosed that president Buhari has earned a reputation for himself but has no concern for the common man, stressing that what the President has been doing since assumption of office in May, 2015 are all deception.
The man of God observed that Buhari and his cronies have nothing to offer the common electorate of this country, maintaining that his plans are primarily for friends, and his relations who are poised to be the only famous, wealthy and progressive citizens in the society now that he is in-charge of leadership.
He further faulted the moves by the Buhari-led government to sell national assets, saying it implies another way of selling the fortunes of the people to friends and cronies, whom he described as crony capitalism”.
As he puts it, “the notion that Nigerians cannot experience recession is unarguably unfortunate and unacceptable”.
The cleric, however, advised the President to thread with caution while dispensing governance in the country by providing development to all the nooks and crannies of the nation and not preaching a cause that can never be actualized.
