Egobueze For Burial, Today
The remains of the chairman of Rivers State Civil Service Commission, Chief Anthony Enebeli Egobueze who was gruesomely murdered in his residence in Port Harcourt on June 11, 2010 will be buried today in his home town, Ndoni in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area.
The programme for the burial released in Port Harcourt by the Chief Mourner, Mr Anthony Egbobueze (Jnr) and made available to The Weekend Tide disclosed that the body of the fallen statesman will leave Kpaima Mortuary by 7.00am and would be received by Ndoni Council of Chiefs and Traditional Rulers.
According to the programme, there will be Requiem Mass at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Ndoni before the interment at his residence.
It would be recalled that late Chief Egobueze’s residence was invaded by four gunmen at about 2.00am on June 11, 2010 at Mgbuoshimini in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State.
The killers were said to have dragged him into his living room where he was shot dead in spite of the financial offer he made to them.
The police in Rivers State is yet to unmask the perpetrators of this dastardly act.
