Indian Hospital Partners Rivers Doctors On Virtual Clinics
A medical institution in Western India, Ruby Hall Clinic in partnership with some reputable doctors and hospitals in Rivers State has embarked on a programme, the virtual clinic, aimed at promoting effective health care delivery in the state as well as to reduce the increasing rate of medical trips abroad by Nigerians.
The senior manager, overseas operations of Ruby Hall Clinic, Mr Hrishikesh Khandve at a recent press conference in Port Harcourt said “as a medical institute, the philosophy had always revolved around making health accessible to every person in the state.
He noted that for decades, futurists have been predicting giant leaps forward in the quality and speedy health care delivery through advancement in technology, adding that with new virtual clinics, the future is here even as them are already in partnership with the Lagos State Government.
Mr Khandve stressed that the benefits of the new virtual clinic are enormous as it brings together all the external and internal sources of doctor-patient engagement by offering convenience both to doctors as well as patients, provides medical assistance, man-power development, and world class medical facilities for the treatment of serious medical cases such as cancer, cardiac surgery, kidney and liver transplant and other critical cases.
He stated that the aim was not only to promote health delivery but also to transfer technology that will help to reduce over dependence on medical treatments abroad even as their doctors were willing to come to the state on the request of the doctors or the patients.
