Banigo Lauds Wike On Dev Strides
The Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo, has lauded Governor Nyesom Wike for his developmental disposition in ensuring that all parts of the state are given a face-left through a focused and committed leadership style.
In a statement in Government House, Port Harcourt, Banigo said the flag-off of the reclamation of lands in Bakana in Degema Local Government Area and Abalama in Asari-Toru Local Government Area of the state, despite the paucity of funds is highly commendable.
The governor, according to her, has continued to execute projects in the riverine communities like the building of jetties, dredging, construction of internal roads, rehabilitation of schools and hospitals.
The deputy governor said the state chief executive deserves commendation because he has demonstrated uncommon courage and love for the Rivers people.
She described Wike as a gender friendly governor, who has the interest of women at heart, noting that the setting aside of a special day in the on-going Golden Jubilee celebrations of the state, and the appointment of women into positions of trust explains, the high premium the governor has for women, which according to her, is unprecedented in the annals of our history.
Banigo called on Rivers women to continue to support the present administration in the state, and prayed the Almighty God to strengthen the governor.
