Ahoada West: Teenager Pours Hot Water On Father, Kills 3-Yr-Old Baby

A 15-year-old girl, Miss
Obeby Oliver, has allegedly killed a 3-year old baby with hot water on a reprisal attack at Ebiriba Community in Ahoada West LGA.
Obeby allegedly poured the hot substance at her nephew, Mr Ahamefula Okai alongside his little daughter, infinity, while both were resting outside his house on September 16, 2016.
Narrating the incident, community sources told The Tide that Infinity and her father’s skins peeled off instantly as both were rolling on the floor and, shouting for help, which attracted the villagers who rushed them elsewhere for treatment.
Impeccable sources added that after a few weeks recovery Infinity had fever and died last Wednesday.
Our sources disclosed that Obeby embarked on monitoring the movement of her nephew upon her arrival from Idu Ekpeye community, until that eventful day she saw him with his daughter resting outside his house which provided a fertile ground for her to administer the boiled water on them.
Community sources maintained that Ahamefula had recently beaten up his niece, Obeby, to stupor during a rift that ensued between them.
Obeby was whisked off to her maternal uncle at Idu Ekpeye community for treatment, our sources said, adding that few weeks later, she returned home with vengeance at heart.
However, touched by the death of one of his twin daughters, Ahamefula went berserk; and razed the house of Mr Oliver Okai and other property.
In an interview with The Tide, Ahamefula admitted beating Obeby to coma in a matter not unconnected with land dispute between his family and people of Ihuakpa community.
When our correspondent visited the home of Mr Oliver, the house and other property were in ruins while the family has fled their home.
Investigators revealed that the father of Obeby, Mr Oliver Okai and the father of Ahamefula, Late Hanibal Okai were sons of the same parents.
