Cleric Lists Path To Eternal Life
The District Pastor and Trustee of Faith Tabernacle Congregation, Nigeria, Port Harcourt District, Pastor Israel Nyeduko has enjoined all Christians to reconcile with God by confessing their sins and trusting him in all circumstances.
Pastor Nyeduko, who gave the charge during a combined communion service of the church held at the District Headquarters, D/line, Port Harcourt on Sunday said Christ died for sinners in order for them to repent, pointing out that sin separates people from God.
He noted that as anbassdors of Christ, they should live Christ-like life in all their endeavours, stressing that as they reconcile with God, they will no longer be enemies of Christ, and that now is the accepted time to get closer to their creator.
The text, “Be ye reconciled to God,” was taken from 2nd Corinthians 2 verses 18-21, Ephessians 2 verse 11 and Colossians one verses 20-22.
Pastor Nyeduko further enjoined them not to love the world nor the things of the world, as they are all vanities, and appealed to parents to show exemplary life to their children, so that they will not depart from it when they grow up.
The District Pastor and Trustee of the Church in his address also reminded Christians to be faithful despite all odds, saying, “Our God is able to deliver us from our adversary, satan and set us on high in the promised land as we are only sojourners in this sinful world.”
According to him, the promised land is only for those who persevere to the end and who shall be so commended.
“Well done thou good and faithful servants,” Stressing that the joy of the Lord is our strength.
In his vote of thanks, the chairman of the combined communion organising committee, Bro Emeka Erugo thanked all for making the ceremony a huge success and that God would abundantly reward all for their spiritual and material sacritices.
The occasion was attended by brethren from Azuabie station, Elelenwo, FATACS, Bonny, Oboburu, Obor, Agbandele, Abua, Egwi, Ekpeliede and Bonny stations.
Highlights of the day was the reception of 13 new converts into membership.
