Why We Embark On Infrastructure Dev -Wike

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has explained that he embarked on the massive infrastructural development of the State as a means of social and economic empowerment of the people.
Speaking during the Child dedication of the daughter of Bishop Solomon Oluwafemi at Mercyland Living Bible Ministry in Port Harcourt yesterday , Governor Wike said that he resolved to massively develop the state’s infrastructure because it was the best way majority of the people will benefit from government.
Governor Wike who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Engr Emeka Woke said: “When we were elected, we resolved to address the infrastructure deficit of the state as a way of empowering the people.
“This is because there is no way the government will share money to all residents. We are happy that our infrastructural development programmes have been successful “.
The governor added that his administration has succeeded in addressing the security challenges in the State.
He noted that several programmes have been held in the state attracting over 100, 000 persons without any untoward incident.
According to him : “As a responsible Government we have funded security agencies and provided the necessary logistics. We are happy that we are achieving results.
“However, from time to time we will have one or two security issues, but they are always tackled. Therefore, there is no reason for anyone to believe the propaganda of the opposition “.
Governor Wike urged clerics to always seek direction from God before they make proclamations. He commended Bishop
Solomon Oluwafemi for being an upright clergyman who rightly predicted his victory during the 2015 Governorship election.
In his remarks, Bishop Solomon Oluwafemi of Mercyland Living Bible Ministry prophesied that God will always bless Rivers State under the leadership of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike .
The child dedication was attended by members of the Rivers State Executive Council and leaders of the PDP.
