ACCI, NASSI Sign Agreement To Promote Investments
The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and the Nigerian Association of Small Scale Industrialists (NASSI) have signed an agreement to promote small and medium enterprises foreign direct investment in Nigeria.
This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday by the President of by ACCI, Mr Tony Ejikeoyen.
The president the chamber said that the agreement would create favourable opportunities for joint ventures and partnerships between Nigerian entrepreneurs and those of other countries.
According to him, the partnership will provide Nigerian entrepreneurs and stakeholders the needed enabling environment to grow their businesses.
He said the agreement would also create a forum for exchange of business ideas, information among Nigeria entrepreneurs and foreign investors.
“The partnership shall see both parties device a means on how to assist small and medium scale enterprises as well as stakeholders on technologies that would transform the sector and promote economic growth.
“Both parties shall also provide digital editions of business enterprise capacity building tools and resource to support entrepreneurs in the management of their businesses.
“The partnership shall foster mutual relationship between ACCI and NASSI; and consequently provide an enabling business environment for entrepreneurs and stakeholders,’’ he said.
Ejikeoyen signed on behalf of the chamber while Mr Ezekiel Essien, the president of NASSI, signed on behalf of his association.
