tenance Rehabilitation Agency says over 35 roads have been reconstructed in the last four months.
The Chairman of the agency, Chief Okey Okah disclosed this when he was presented with the Award of Excellence by the leadership of Rivers State Independent Publishers (RIVPA) in his office in Port Harcourt recently.
He attributed the achievements recorded so far to the vision and support of the state governor, Chief Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, adding that the governor had demonstrated his commitment to the development of the state inspite of the dwindling revenue in the past twelve months.
He thanked the governor for giving him the opportunity to contribute his quota to the development of the state and assured that the agency would discharge its duties effectively.

Chief Okah thanked RIVPA for the award and assured that the agency would partner with the publishers to deliver on its mandate.
“There is nothing bad in criticising somebody who is not doing well and recognising one that is doing well. My office will always be open for corrections and advice that will impact on the state positively and the country at large. No one person can know it all”, he added.
Earlier in his address, the Chairman of RIVPA, Mr Mike Nweze had commended the Chairman of Rivers State Roads Maintenance and Rehabilitation Agency for the innovative and creative skills adopted in executing a large number of road projects within four months.
Also speaking, the Chairman, Board of Trustees of RIVPA and publisher of Surveillance Newspaper, Chief Monday Wehere said, it was the first time that RIVPA had given an award to a hardworking and well meaning individual in the state.

Rivers Judiciary Denies Issuing Court Order Stopping SOLAD from Swearing in RSCSC Members
The Rivers State Judiciary has denied a media report claiming that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction order restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating the newly appointed members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC).
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of litigation at the High Court, Menenen Poromon (Esq), the state Judiciary disassociated itself from the report, describing it as malicious and fabricated.
The statement emphasized that the report was a falsehood and a misrepresentation of what transpeared in the court.
Poromon clarified that no such order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of the state and urged the public to disregard the information, as it lacked any iota of truth.
The statement however advised the public to verify any information concerning the state Judiciary directly from the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of the State, to avoid spreading of misinformation.
