‘Be Committed To God’s Work’
Wife of the Rivers State Governor, Justice Suzette Nyesom Wike, has called on Christians to be committed and dedicated to the service of God.
Justice Wike said this during the enthronement induction of His Grace, Most Rev. Moses O. Kattey as the presiding Archbishop of Commonwealth Covenant Church, Alode, Eleme.
The wife of the governor, who was represented by the wife of the Commissioner for Finance, Mrs Philtona Fred Kpakol, said that, Christians must show their love for Christ through dedication and commitment to His work.
She described the newly enthroned Archbishop as a great man of God whose spiritual activities over the years have won many souls for Christ.
Also speaking, the newly enthroned Archbishop, Most Rev. Moses O. Kattey, said that the current economic hardship in the country need the prayers of Christians.
Kattey also said that President Muhammadu Buhari deserves the support of all Nigerians to nip in the bud the current level of insurgency and pipeline vandalism in the country.
The clergyman advised President Buhari to always look up to God for guidance, while charging all Christians to be ceaseless in their prayers, especially now that the country was facing serious economic challenges.
Also speaking, the Bishop, Diocese of Niger Delta north, Most Rev. Ignatius Kattey, thanked the Trans Atlantic and Pacific Alliance of churches (TAPAC) for the honour done to Most Rev. Moses Kattey, who is his junior brother.
Ignatius Kattey stressed the need for the newly enthroned Archbishop to show more commitment to God’s work in line with his new office.
Earlier, the International President of the Trans-Atlantic and Pacific Alliance of Churches (TAPAC), Most Rev. Jubameeta Paul Hackman, also charged the new Archbishop to use his position to assist the people around him to improve their condition.
He charged him to be good ambassador of Christ.
