Strip Clubs Now Dominate PH Night Life

Published

on

There is an ongoing cut
throat competition amongst strip club operators in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital as they scramble to beat each other in the thriving business by attracting more strip dancers and customers to their clubs by hook or crook.
Due to the lucrative nature of the business, strip clubs are been opened in every nooks and crannies of the state capital, and its environs while the number of customers to the clubs increase on daily basis despite the economic hardship in the country.
The Tide entertainment gathered that the reason for the recent development is that most of the fun seekers in the city now prefer the strip clubs to other clubs and hangouts as it affords them the opportunity to drink, relax and watch the young beautiful strip dancers perform their trade on stage.
According to the Oxford Advanced learners Dictionary, “a strip club refers to clubs where people watch performers take their clothes off in a sexually exciting way”. This practice which is very common in America has found its way into most cities across the world including our own garden city.
The strip dancers are professional dancers who come from far and near to carry out their trade, it was gathered that most of the nude dancers are students of tertiary institutions who raise money through this means to pay their school fees and take care of their personal needs. There are also single mothers who feed their families based on what they make from there as well as the less privileged girls.
Contrary to the belief that these girls are induced into the unholy practice, our investigations revealed that it is voluntary as most of them come to the clubs to signal their interest to be part of the dancers while most of their patrons are highly placed men and women in society who attend the clubs in daily basis.
One of the strippers who spoke with The Tide entertainment at one of the clubs located at GRA Phase 2, disclosed that poverty drove her into participating in the trade. According to her, “there is money in the business provided you can dance very well and you are not ashamed of removing your clothes before the large crowd of customers starring at you.”
In most of the clubs you find all sorts of people from the good, the bad and the ugly. While most of them come to party and indulge, others engage in one shaddy deal or the other, which has made security an important factor for the success of the business.
Though most people have condemned the activities that take place in the strip clubs and called on government to checkmate the proliferation of the clubs, the operators still remain unperturbed by such comments as they see it as a  good business and continue to smile to the bank at the end of the day, hence the business continues to boom in the city as more young girls engage in the disgraceful act without any form of restriction, so if you want to enjoy unadulterated fun, the strip clubs are the best place to be.
