NCF Begins Second Phase Camping
The Nigeria Cricket
Federation (NCF) on Saturday said that the second phase of camping in preparation for the World Cricket League Division 5 in Jersey Island, U.K. would commence today.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cricket League Division 5 is scheduled to hold in May.
Musa Ehizoje, the Public Relations Officer of NCF said in a statement at the weekend that the camp would hold from today to March 21 in Abuja.
It said that eight new players would join 14 players that were selected out of the 22 invited for the first phase held in January.
The statement said the names of the newly invited players are Olympio Seye, Salako Azeez, Abioye Abiodun, Adesanya Rotimi, Ejegi-Mene Ayo, Joseph Joel, Friday Udoh and Ademola Onikoyi.
According to the statement, Montage Cable Network, a long partner and sponsor of cricket in Nigeria would bankroll the second phase of camping.
Tidesports source gathered that NCF secured a sponsorship deal worth N150 million with Montage in 2015.
