Chinese Firm To Build Assembly Plant In Calabar
The Head of African
Division of a Chinese truck manufacturing company, SINO Truck, Mr John Wang, has disclosed plans by the company to establish an auto assembly plant in Calabar, Cross River State.
Wang, who made this known during a courtesy call to the State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade, in his office recently said as soon as they set up the assembly plant, the company would also establish service centres all over the state to enhance efficient after-sales and customer care delivery for its range of products in Nigeria.
The company’s boss told the Governor that the peaceful environment had necessitated the establishment of the assembly plant in the state and enjoined him to maintain the tempo.
“SINO Truck is a state-owned company and the number-one heavy duty truck manufacturing company in China with over 56 years experience in auto assembly and has a good record in truck manufacturing and assembling”, he revealed.
In his response, Governor Ayade assured the company that all the enabling environments have been put in place for them to commence operation immediately and thanked them for the visit.
