MAN’s Trade Fair Kicks Off, March
The 3rd annual
MPAD and Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) Expo has been slated for March, 15-17, 2016 in Lagos.
According to a release obtained by The Tide recently, the event is organized by Spintelligent Limited, Clarion Event Limited and the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, (MAN).
The statement explained that it is an annual meeting place and procurement event for the 2000 invited MAN members who are investing in new technology that would modernise their manufacturing capabilities in accordance with the Nigerian Industrial Revolution Plan (NIRP).
The Expo is where Nigerian manufacturers come together to evaluate and purchase new manufacturing machinery.
The objective of the 3rd Annual MPAD and Nigeria Manufacturing Expo is to support the NIRP, increase local production, support job creation and ultimately stimulate the growth and diversification of Nigeria’s economy for self reliance and export of non-oil and gas products.
The agenda is expected to cover key drivers for the manufacturing sector with topics on industrial clustering, factory financing mechanisms, synchronising value and supply chains.
Others include, Ecowas Trading zone, Nigerian Industrial Revolution Plan (NIRP), Technical Workforce Training Infrastructure and Energy Security.
There are 100 international suppliers invited to exhibit manufacturing machines, automation technology and machine tools in the co-located exhibition with free training seminars for plant managers, technicians and engineers, technicians and engineers amongst others.
Invited organisations to mPAD include Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, (MAN), Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FAMITI), Economic Community of West African States, (ECOWAS), Nigerian Export Promotion Council, (NEPC) Lagos State Government and Standards Organisation of Nigeria, (SON) amongst others.
