Group Urges Support For Wike
A Non-Governmental Organisation operating in Rivers State, African Global Development for Drastic Change (AGDDC), has urged the people of the State to support the Nyesom Wike-led government in the state for better development projects.
The President of the group, Prince Dan Mbachi made this call while addressing journalists in his office, Port Harcourt, over the weekend.
Prince Mbachi stated that the state governor has done well in first one hundred days in the office and urged the People of the State to maintain peace and stability in the state for the development of the state.
According to him, the various projects executed by governor Wike within the first three months in office were commendable noting that they have direct bearing to ordinary people in the state.
“Today we have seen what the executive Governor “Nyesom Wike has done within this short period, we identify with good governance we are also calling on Rivers State indigenes, traditional Rulers among others to support the governors good governance”.
The AGDDC President urged the governor not to be distracted by the on-going governorship case at the Election tribunal in Abuja, adding that the state was not for sale.
He disclosed that the majority of the Rivers people voted for governor Wike and PDP during the election even as they assured of their total moblisation of people to support him.
The group used the opportunity to appeal to the government continue in his quest to promote good governance in the state and urged the opposition party in the state to close ranks with the governor to ensure that the dividends of democracy to the people.
