Zero Pothole Projects: LG Boss Gives Contractor 14-Day Ultimatum

Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mr Isaac Ibiberebupakabo, has directed that the on-going operation zero pot-hole projects from Eteo junction in Eleme Local Government Area to Ogu round-about be completed in two weeks time, while the street lights be completed within one month.
Mr Ibiberebupakobo, who handed down the directive while flagging –off the projects said when completed, it would ease free-flow of traffic and ameliorate road crashes along the area as well as check criminality on the road.
According to him, the project which is on direct labour would further boost commercial activities in the area, assuring that his administration would always embark on projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people at the grassroots.
Mr Ibberebupakabo charged the Director of Works in the council, Mr Ogah George to expedite action, and ensure quality and solid jobs.
In his reaction, the Director of Works, Transport, Housing, Land and Survey of the council, Mr Ogah George assured of quality jobs and expressed optimism that the projects would be delivered within the stipulated periods.
