LG Boss Assures Corps Members Of Welfare

Committee Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Council, Mr Isaac Ibiberebupakabo, has assured members of the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) serving in the area of their welfare, security and conducive environment.
Mr Ibibere-bupakabo gave the assurance while addressing the corpers in his office on Thursday.
According to him, welfare of the corpers who are on national assignment would be given priority attention. He enjoined them to be of good behaviour.
The council’s boss advised them to refrain from unruly behaviours and restrict their movements, adding that the corper’s lodge in the area would also be given a facelift.
He promised to look into their demands with view to give them a sense of belonging and charged them to take their assignment serious.
Earlier, the corpers Liaison Officer in the local government, Billion Yibet Temple congratulated the chairman on his appointment and appealed for improved welfare and fund to carry out some programmes in the local government area.

The River State Commissioner for Education, Dr Peters Nwagor has called on media practitioners in Rivers State to deploy their various communication platforms toward promoting government programmes and policies aimed at achieving sustainable development in the education sector. Dr. Nwagor made the appeal when members of the Etche Ethnic Practicing Journalists (EEPJ) paid him a courtesy visit in Office in Port Harcourt. The Commissioner emphasized the strategic role of the media in shaping public perception, promoting government initiatives, and supporting policies capable of improving the quality of education and human capital development in the state.
